I was told there have been some problems with compiling the tryout list for the Ky All-Star team. Apparently, at the KABC game a couple weeks ago, it was announced that all players selected for that game got automatic invites to the Ky All-Star tryouts.

KABC coaches are also asked for suggestions/votes on other players for the tryouts, and because of the announcement at the KABC game, many of the players participating in the game received no votes for the tryout list.

Anybody know anything on this? Hopefully the Ky All-Star game organizers do not leave any worthy candidates -- candidates who could help the Ky cause against Indiana -- off the tryout invite list because of this misunderstanding.

That could be a problem. The KABC all star game is made up of the two top vote getters from each region. Only the regional player of the year gets an automatic invite.

Is that why there hasn't been a list of the invites published anywhere?

That's the way I'm understanding it. Don't the tryouts start next Friday?

Tryouts are in two weeks.

OK, couldn't remember for sure. Thanks for the clarification. Well, at least that gives them time to iron things out and make sure those who deserve it get the invites.
