Kentucky needs to find a fit that will excite the current roster of players, bring an image back to Kentucky that is positive, generate anticipation and excitement in general, and has an aura about them that stands out. What is aggravating for any coach would be the... MEDIA The media in Kentucky have just about killed Kentucky sports of football and basketball over the past 20 years. The Lex. Herald-Leader is cutting staff and that may be a good thing...watching our media handle sports matters at the University of Kentucky is mind boggling to say the least and one of the most unattractive points about being the head coach of football or basketball. I have always enjoyed Alan Cutler's viewpoints but the last two years he is just story hunting and trying to make a name for himself...His Geraldo Rivera like approach (Friday, chasing down BCG) was absurd and just plain stupid. I was completely turned off by this. The local media has no obligation to be a cheerleader for UK. UK has its own marketing/PR department to handle that.
