How does things look in the immediate future & down the road for these two teams?

The 64th is up for grabs IMO.

I don't know how much longer Bill Bradley plans on coaching, but whenever he's ready to step down I think Ashland should consider making Dale White the head man. He has a brilliant basketball mind inside of that ball head of his. I remember watching him take charge of his teams when he dominated the courts at Southside. Ashland is sitting on a gold mine there.

Ashland will be the hands down team to beat for the next several years.

Anyone could take the 64th district in the next couple of years. Both Ashland, Boyd Co. and Fairview have lost several key players. JMO.

If you are talking in the 64th that's a possibility. If you are talking region, You may want to take a look down I 64. It may change your mind.

I believe both teams are going to have a lot of work to do. Ashland getting Dietrich and Conners back will be a big help to them.

So you are thinking regional. Look at East Carter for next year. That's one that comes to mind.

Yes that's another one. I think the east end of the region will be heads up, some will be around 500 and some will dip below it.:thumb:

Unfortunately many of the 16th region teams will be in a rebuilding mode. IMO the 16th will overall be a weaker region than it even was this year. The success of many teams will depend on how quickly their their young players develop.

Judging from their JV and returning varsity players, both of these teams will be very good in the 16th. Rowan and East will indeed be near the top again, but the region could be up for grabs next year.
