Looks is what scares people. I can take a Ruger 10/22 which is just a .22 rimfire. Your basic squirrel rifle. Add an aftermarket stock slap an extended magazine in it and it'll look meaner than your military M4. But it still operates like it did before. just your plain ol' little .22.

As I recall, the last time they instituted a ban they tried to eliminate the ability to put a bayonet on the end. The gun was acceptable if it still functioned the same way; it just couldn't have a bayonet lug on it.

 

I believe that was to stop all of the "drive-by bayonetings" that had been occurring....

 

Hey....I got an idea.....why don't we just make cars illegal !

 

That would stop ALL the drive by bayonetings!:D
