Sportster Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Oldham Co. is on a roll beating North Bullitt away 52 - 38 . OC - Leanhart lead with 12 points and Hardin with 10 points.
Mr. Athletics Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 They do seem to be coming along nicely. The big question is can they beat South for the 2nd time this season in the district.
retropop Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 After an early season of struggling and adjusting to new situations, roles and expectations, both Oldham Co. (new coach and graduation) and South Oldham (graduation) have turned their seasons around respectably. If they each have indeed turned "the corner," then the 29th district tourney might become a hot ticket item. A key question is if playing the host will be a significant factor, since it is to be played at Oldham Co. this year, and their first tussle had such a strange O.T. ending. Obviously, North Oldham and Trimble Co. cannot be written off, either, but they must both elevate their games a bit in order to make it into the title game.
ColonelMike Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Lady Colonels and Lady Dragons have definitely elevated their level of play as the year has gone along. District 29 tournament: Oldham #1 seed vs. loser of tonight's North Oldham - Trimble Co game South #2 seed vs. winner of tonight's North Oldham - Trimble Co. game. Have to think Oldham and South will be heavily favored for a rematch of last year's district final. Oldham has won the last two games between Oldham and South, including last year's district championship.

It would be nice to get some better officiating for district play this year. That will make a big difference - boys teams tend to draw the better officials and it is about time that the girls get them as well.
