I see this on stat sheets everywhere. Please explain.

My understanding is that it is a statistic that is used to add to individual rebounds so that total rebounds equal total missed shots.

I think I might have found it. Example, A shot hits the rim and goes over the backboard out of bounds. Since no individual actually rebounded the ball it would be recorded as a team rebound for the non shooting(defensive) team. Or a shot is blocked out of bounds. The offensive team would get credit for a team rbound.

Right, anytime a shot goes out of bounds without a true possesion its counted as a team rebound.:ylsuper:
