MC over Highlands 54-51

Great game Highlands led most of the game.

Big turning point late in the game. Watson fouled a three point shooter. MC went to the FT line and made 2 out of 3. Highlands did not box out on the third FT. MC rebounded the missed FT #35 scored and was fouled. It was about a 4-5 point swing.

The Birds lack firepower with Watson and Kowolonek carrying most of the load. Grote, Gordon and Dill need to step up.

Grote did not start and probably played about half the game.

Grubbs helped while he was in there but got in a little foul trouble in the 1st half.

Highlands plays the loser of Prestonburg vs Scott Co. at 2:00 Sunday

Thanks for the recap. Sounds like Highlands really beat themselves down the stretch.

Congrats to MC on the win.

Its fundamental basketball is all boxing out is. I see it all the time at all levels of the game.

Too bad the Birds couldnt pull off the win and get to meet Scott Co who will or has already won that game.
