OC will win their share of games this year, but would have to be considered a dark horse at this time in the region. The team chemistry seems to be much improved over last year, and Gary Forrest is very pleased with the effort he's getting. That said, the overall talent is probably not as high as in years past, although PG Eric Dunlap is one of the top 25 players in the state and has really improved his range over last year. They also have a couple of younger players who have some real promise.

 

The regular season will be very important to OC; they need to develop to challenge North Oldham, the favorite, in the 29th. But that's what Gary has done so splendidly in his 20 years at Oldham, develop squads and outwork other teams. Remember, his first team (1989-90) went 16-16...and won the 8th Region in a stunner. In 20 years, he's taken Oldham to the Sweet 16 five times...

Coach Forest is one the best and has got it done consistently. OC will be competitive regardless of the talent level. An excellent post and it is clearer now as to your other post.
