Owsley County 69 Wolfe County 68

Final from Campton. I don't have any details. I caught the last part on the radio. The announcers said Owsley had a big lead at one time, but poor free throw shooting on their part allowed the Lady Wolves back in the game.

I listened to the second half. The Lady Owls did have a 12 or 13 point lead in the first half. The announcers said that the Wolfe coaching staff saw a weakness in free throw shooting in the first half and used that in the second. The Lady Owls did seem to shoot alot of free throws, hitting very few. Congrats to the Lady Owls on their first game,a nd win of the 2008-2009 season.

Is Wolfe County going to be better this year. I know I saw where they played June B really tough in a preseason game and then beat Lee County pretty well in their other preseason game. Looks like they gave the Owls all they could handle tonight.

Owsley had two nice players in #00 and #5 I believe they led the team. I heard someone say Owsley shot 9/34 from the line. Wolfe County will be better as the year goes along, as will Owsley. Wolfe has a nice player in #20 seems as though she found out that Owsley wouldn't play any defense and just drove it to the basket and got fouled.
