Madison Central 28 Shelby County 6

Any details? I'm sure there wasn't much of a crowd since they were playing a winless team on a cold, rainy night.

MC better focus this week because they are going to play a machine next Friday night...

RICHMOND — It took the Indians just four possessions to build a commanding 21-0 first-half lead against district rival Shelby County Friday in Richmond.

However, it wasn’t until the closing minutes that Madison Central was finally able to secure a victory against the winless Rockets.

Senior quarterback Zac Coldiron scored on a 1-yard run with 2:14 as the Indians wrapped up a less than emphatic 28-6 win. With the victory, the Indians secured the No. 2 seed in the district and are guaranteed a first-round home playoff game.

Madison Central jumped out early and looked like it was going to be a 50-0 kind of game. But Shelby County never quit and stayed within striking distance in the 2nd half. Madison Central was just too much for the Rockets. Too many weapons. It was cold and rainy, but the MC folks I saw were very friendly and the hospitality room was EXCELLENT!
