October 8, 200817 yr I may check my 401K every few weeks just to make sure I am diversified correctly. I am 37 and have been contributing 10% with a 4% company match for past 7 yrs. I have atleast 25 yrs til retirement and history has shown that the market will rebound. No need to worry at this point but I do recommend checking what funds your money is invested in. Its the folks that are looking to retire in 5-8 yrs that need to start moving their money into Treasury bonds or something with minimal risk. I will say this, the RICH will definitely get RICHER during this drop. Those are the ones that will buy up all the cheap stocks and sit and watch them grow. The avg Joe who doesnt have cash to buy will have to just hope things rebound with what they have.
