Aw, congratulations! :) I just lost my baby...and once I get over the heartbreak [which may be a long long time] I plan on adopting a dog. She's gorgeous.

Well, RK, when I was talking about you two adopting...I was thinking more of the human kind LOL LOL....Anyway, she is sooooo cute! I am so happy for you and I know you will love her and be a great dog mama!!

Congrats on her!...We always get our babies from the animal shelter. They are the best and always want lots of love! ENJOY.

So sorry about your loss....we lost ours a little over 2 years ago and the heartbreak never ends...I find myself thinking of her sometimes and will cry. We adopted Molly about 2 months after we lost Daisy. It just seemed soo lonely without her that we decided on a puppy. We got Molly who is a mini Beagle at the shelter. She is something!

That is awesome. Dogs are the absolute best. I know you will enjoy her and she will get lots of love. I'm lying here with my boy Simba right now!

Yeah, Wrinkles is the background on my phone and I went to see my nephews today and they saw her picture and said "aw i love you wrinki" and i about lost it. I had to explain she went to a better home. :( Ah well..hopefully one day I will be able to adopt a dog who needs a good home.

It is so sad...they are apart of the family...they really are.

Adopt a Beagle from the shelter. They keep you really busy!;):lol:Molly is into everything. She never barks....she has done the howl thing only twice...it was so funny because she is such a quiet dog!

Don't jump into adopting until you are ready...we jumped into it a little fast. But, Daisy was such a sick and abused dog when we got her that she kept us busy a lot. She was 6 months old when we adopted her. She was a mess...they were thinking about putting her to sleep. I begged them to let us adopt...they did. The vet said that she would never live over a year. We had to put her to sleep when she was 9 years old. She was an amazing dog. She had seizures from brain trauma from the abuse she had gone through, a too big a heart for her, liver problems, etc....we would not have traded that sweet dog for nothing. She loved life. But, when she ended up with cancer that had spread throughout her body, it was time to let her go. We did not have a clue anything was wrong with her. We woke up one morning and she was very tired (but, she had had several seizures the night before, so, we did not think anything about it). By about 8 that night, she was not moving, just laying in the floor. I called the vet at home and he told me to meet him at the office. He ran tests and found all the cancer. He told us that we could let her go on her own, which would be very painful. If we did this, she would live about one more week. Or, we could go ahead and put her to sleep...we put her to sleep....our hearts were sick and we could not stand it. We cried and cried and nothing seemed to help. We did not want to adopt, but, we decided to donate some items and take a look. There was Molly...she was in a cage by herself. She was shaking and scared....well, she needed us and we needed her. It was hard to bond with her at first, but, as we got to know her personality and the fact that she always wanted to be held and kissed, the bonding happened fast....She is now a little over 2 years old...we have had her that long as well....we could not nor want to, be without her.
