I know nothing of Henderson this year, just their record this year (1-1). If this is lopsided one way or the other, it'll be the first for either team, considering they've both played some close games. I'm going to reach out there and say Manual (3-0) has faced stiffer competition so far, but a weak Ballard team put up 26 on them last week, so I don't know how they'll be coming into this game.

Henderson is better then I expected but still not sure how good they are. North is way down this year which makes that win not look as good and the DC game could have been ugly early if not for turnovers by DC. Once Henderson got rolling they played a good game and looked strong. Their biggest problem so far is the inability to finish the game. One reason could be the fact they have lost their best offensive weapon to cramps in the second half of both games. That should be an issue this Friday as the weather should not be hot.

Where have teams had success against Manual, running or throwing. Henderson throws about 2 times a game so they are not a threat through the air.

That all seems to bode pretty well for Manual, assuming those two throws are not impressive. As I said in another thread, their ability to keep playing hard is my favorite part of this team. Manual's defense is probably the weakest part of this team - from what I've seen - giving up the big plays too easily.

To be fair, I only watched the Seneca game. And honestly, the Ballard score kind of surprised me... I expected they'd rack up a TD more and Ballard score a TD less.

Manual has proven to be susceptible to the big play. The secondary isn't as sure as a group as Manual has had in the past with nearly every TD agaisnt them this season coming off of plays more than 25 yards. The flip side of that is that they reasonably good defense most of the game and haven't let many offenses drive the ball on them. If Henderson has speed they can cause this defense problems.

Offensively Manual is going to be hard for most teams to stop. They run the ball fairly well and QB Harness is very experienced as has strong WR and TE give most defenses problems.

Last year Manual ran away from a young Henderson once they got the offense in gear. I expect a more experienced and improved Henderson to give more of a fight. I do expect Manual to win, one thing about this Manual team is that they have proven themselves capable of winning the close games and believe in themselves (even though they might not be as good) as well as any Manual team I have seen.

Does Manual have the same QB as last year? I remember him having a pretty good arm. Henderson's run defense has been pretty stout. Daviess Co's QB ran for over 100 yards on them but most of that came on a few broken plays where they had HC spread out every where. Henderson's secondary is 1000% better this year then last (which was the worst I think I have ever seen). However last year they had 3 or 4 kids that had never started and a couple that had never played. The offense has some decent speed in Theus and Jackson but not break away type spead. Both run hard and and find the holes they just won't flat out run you. Corsey has a good arm and threw the ball well his sophmore year (Duffer's last year here). But Duffer ran the Franklin system and was a pretty good QB coach. Henderson just doesn't have that coach to develop the QB's it has shown.

Manual 42-15.

Yes QB Joey Harness is back. Overall team speed for Crimsons is above normal and should lead to victory.
