Defense for Hc still looking strong even with the injury of Brad Herald. From what I saw Scott didnt even get past the thirty yard line after the first drive. On the other side of the ball Hc running game looked solid, still a little shaky with the pass though.

The protection wasn't nearly as good as it was last week. But I have a feeling coach Koz will whip his lineman into shape for North Laurel.

Andy Roenker looks really good. Does anyone consider him one of the top players in NKY??

South Laurel there buddy.

Any report on the Freshman scrimmage?

2 TD's to 1 TD is not exactly what I would call convincingly. I'll try to be as politically correct as I can here, but I think that HC regressed from the level of play in their first scrimmage (Conner) to this one.

HC was sloppy in all phases of the game, as was Scott. There was just an overall lack of intensity & enthusiasm here...both sides making mistakes you should not be making going into your first game of the season.

HC has way too much talent to come out and play the way they did. The leaders on this team must demand 110% from everyone if this team wants to compete with the likes of NCC, Beechwood & Ryle.

HC has a legitimate chance over the next two years to compete for the 2A State Title, however they will only underachieve if they continue to show a lack of discipline and leadership as they did in the Scott scrimmage.

Here are some motivational quotes that may help...

"Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment."

Jim Rohn

“Attitudes are contagious. Do you want people around you to catch yours?”

Bob Moawad

“If we did all of the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves.”

Thomas Edison

“Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but by what you should have accomplished with your ability.”

John Wooden

HC came out flat. This team can do some good things this year, but they have to maintain a high level of intensity with the schedule they pay.

HC always has alot of talent. So much talent there should be no way they should not win their respective district. But you have to have a good coach that knows how to utilize that talent. That is where HC lacks. If HC had a coach like NCC, B'wod, CCH.....they would suceed. They know how to coach with talent or even lack of talent. They can coach to the other teams weaknesses. Instead HC wants to run the ball time and time again when the defense has 9, 10, 11 guys in the box.......Not to smart.

Hopefully this year will be differently.

Now it feels like football season. Sportsfan34 got his 277th crack on Coach Koz.

Ya know.......I'm not the only one who feels this way. But I am the only one who will call it like I see it..........
