Featured Replies

Very proud of this young boy and Collier Curd of Bowling Green. , and wanted to share for all those that love golf.

Great article on Jansen Preston:

Preston, who also carries a long drive off the tee, will be among 102 players from 20 different countries competing in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship starting Thursday at the Mid-Pines course in Pinehurst, N.C. The event will conclude Saturday. More than 1,250 players from across the world will compete in seven different age groups.

The tournament format will feature 27 holes, with nine holes played each day. Preston, one of just two players from Kentucky competing in his age group, will tee off at 7:20 a.m. Thursday in a group featuring Collier Curd of Bowling Green.

For Preston, it will be the third appearance in a row for the 7-year-old golfer who will be a second-grader at Calvary Christian this fall.

Nice article. Drew Mcdonald of Cold Spring is playing in his 6th U.S. Kids tourney in the 11year old division. Good luck to them all, it is a great experience.

Enjoyed the article. Thanks for sharing.

What an amazing kid. My son started with US Kids when he was 6, at Gibson Bay in Richmond. I think he was shooting in the High 40's Low 50's for nine (tee's are moved up forward of the reds). He's 12 now and is regularly shoots under par from the reds. I am just trying to imagine how good this kid from Winchester can be...

Thanks for the article. :thumb:
