KInd of surprised the West won. The East looked to have a pretty solid squad with both Simpson and Mcgraw. Did none of the Holmes seniors participate?

The Northern Kentucky Basketball Coaches Association on Wednesday hosted its junior and senior all-stars at Covington Catholic.

 

The West team came back to win the senior game 94-91. Erik Thomas of Conner (West) and Nic Simpson of Highlands (East) won the Tony Commodore MVP award. Simpson led all scorers with 26 points. Alex Hall of Beechwood scored 20 points for the West. The Dick Vories Mr. Hustle award went to Todd Krohman of Boone County (West) and Chris Young of Dayton (East). The East leads the series, 14 to 12.

 

The West won the juniors game 90-76. Shina Giwa of Holy Cross (West) and Nikola Gligorevic of Scott (East) won the MVP awards. The Dick Vories Mr. Hustle winners were: Kyle Williamson of Ludlow (West) and Joe Webb of Bishop Brossart (East). Giwa led all scorers with 19 points. Gligorevic tallied 18.
