What does Bethlehem need to do to improve in 2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Bethlehem loses a number of key seniors, including leading rusher and receiver Blake Stanley. And, from what I've heard, numbers won't be as good as they were last year.

 

Second-year coach Stan Torzewski will need to shore up the numbers and replace key players. On the good side, there is a strong core group of young guys who got a lot of playing time last year and have been working hard in the weight room. They'll need to find a big-play threat to try and fill Stanley's sizable shoes.

I think Bethlehem will be O.K. The line returns all 5 and has a year under their belt, they get to showcase a sophomore athlete phenom at QB (Owens), and have a plethora of tough little skill players (Casey Robinson, et.al.). Defensive line is a question. I think the Eagles will challenge for a district title.

Hearsay unfortunately Casey Robinson will not be playing. He recently went to Nashville for a baseball showcase and ran the fastest 60 time in the camp. He was invited to play on the Under Armour Pro/Select team this summer in Omaha Nebraska and had to make a difficult decision to focus on baseball.
