Rash may be better than Downing but can't stack up with Middleton. Hatton from Clark can shoot as well as anyone on that list. The Faulkners from Elliott should be there or at least one of them.:ylsuper:

I certainly have an Elliott County bias, but believe Ferguson is the best shooter in the state and that Ethan Faulkner is the best point guard in the state. Evan Faulkner is also a very good player and great defensive player, but the tendency is to say one or two from one team is enough. This may hold true when try-outs take place next April in G-Town for the Sr. All-Star Team?? But I have seen plenty of players both during the season and in AAU competetion this summer and Ethan Faulkner is a Top 10 player in that class and so is Ferg!!!

I have no idea how they selected this team but Ethan Faulkner should have been on the team IMO.

What about Brandon Rash he is as good or better than Keith Downing. And is also on the same level as Russ Middleton.IMO

Rash isn't close to Middleton. Not even close. Rash is a good player but Downing is poised for a breakout season with the Royals. He understood his role on the team last year and focused on being a great rebounder and defender while helping some of Mason County's extremely talented players handle the offensive load. Rash may be as good as Downing, but he is not better by any means.

We shall see... I think it's hard to judge at this point. Middleton was the 3rd option on his team last year. Rash was the 4th option on his team last year. They are both going to have to take more dominant roles this season - as will Downing. I think Rash may surprise some people this year.

He will not suprise us here at GRC...we know what he can do...now hopefully the rest of the state will too.:thumb:
