What does Waggener need to do to improve in 2008/2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

They hit a home run in my opinion with the recent hiring of Coach Curry, his uptempo style should be favored by wildcat players and he is a players coach. I look for them to stay competitive in a tough district and region.

Two ingredients needed are support from the top and to end the perception that Waggener will always be at the bottom of their tough district.

Neighborhood kids attending the school would be a good thing as well.

They do have a willing and capable AD.

I saw Dayvon Slone play at Fairdale two weekends ago in an AAU tournament and he can shoot. He should fit in with Coach Curry's style of play.

For a 5'8" guard, Slone is as tough as you get. Just needs some talent around him. He was the team's only scoring threat last year and took the bulk of the shots. They will be improved this year.

Jesstin Devoe was an integral part of last year's team and a departing senior who was the second leading scorer, averaging in the high teens.

Waggener will be challenged to replace these points and will become more one dimensional with Sloan unless they can find some additional offensive firepower from last year's roster.

Depth will challenge them to be "an up and down" team.
