While what you are saying is true, a slump for him, is a good hitting day for most HS players. Earning the POY as a Sophmore in the Ninth is enough for most to realize that Maile along with Farris are on a different level, than a most of the other players. Even as good as Nichols and Elliott are, if you would be choosing sides up, either Maile/Farris or Farris/Maile would be your 1/2 picks, and that is not a knock on either Cody or Matt, or anyother player in the Ninth but a true statement of just how good those two young men are.

Never heard of Hamilton Badin? The Rams, always have one of the better GCL baseball teams, year in and year out, and while I hate to say it, the GCL baseball teams are usually some of the best in the Country. The GCL have sent just a couple....... of kids to the Major Leagues. Think just to start Griffey, Bells, Larkin, and a quite a few more.

Well said.... Maile and Farris are just by far the two best players in NKY. It's great to be able to see such astonishing talent right here in NKY.

It really isn't that he's swinging for the fences every time, that's just how strong of a hitter he is. It's almost effortless.
