With what seems like an unusually high number of Head coaching changes what happens to all the assistants. While I know that some assistants are just football guys who have very little say so in gameplanning and scheme. Then there are some that are in the building teachers or staff. How often does the HC move and take the staff he had with him and how often does the HC come in and have paid assistants or volunteers that have been on the staff for a while. Lastly do Assistants just put out feelers that they want to join a staff or is there a database with the KHSAA or something like that.

It all depends on the open teaching positions.

There is a Kentucky football coaches listserv that almost always has coaching vacancies where the HC is looking to find someone. The listserv has to be setup as an account to your email.
