I am not blinded to anything. What are you basing this on?

 

Plax was considered a problem in Pittsburgh. He's been nothing but great in New York. Even he admitted that he has changed the way he does things since he came to New York. He's one of the hardest workers on the team. He played with a badly injured ankle, a hurt knee and a separated shoulder for much of the season.

 

He's had one good year as a good kick returner/corner. He's no Devin Hester.

 

He may be one of the better (talent wise) combo guys. What I'm trying to get through to you is that the baggage that comes with him out weighs his talents on the field. Is that really that hard to understand?

 

BTW, TO was more of a cry baby this year, than ever. But me saying that is...really unfair.

Plax was a problem in Pitt T.O. was a problem in Philly. Plax works his tail off, plays hurt and has been a great asset in NY. T.O. has worked his tail off, played hurt and been a great asset in Dall. Both have grown up some.

 

I started a thread on BGP about Devin Hester being the best returner ever. I've never said PacMan was Devin Hester:lol: That's your words. I said he was one of the best corner+kick returner combos from a talent standpoint and I still feel that way. You don't have to get through to me that his baggage outweighs his talent. Look back in this thread and I said I hope he is banned from the league. He's a bum!

From a business standpoint the Titans rolled the dice to get him knowing he was a problem. They lost so now it's damage control. All I have said all along is that they aren't doing a very good job of easing the pain of wasting a #6 pick by swapping him for a 5th rounder. I think they realize this and that's why the deal hasn't been done. They are now asking for more so I guess they are thinking the same way I am. If he is reinstated (after his comments I'm starting to go from being sure to hoping he isn't) then there will be several teams after him. The Cowboys, Pats and Ravens have already said they would be interested.

From a talent standpoint he is special or he wouldn't be picked #6 with all the off the field problems he has. I've never said he was worth the risk as the 6th pick because he can't stay out of trouble. I think Dallas would be willing to roll the dice for a 5th round pick feeling like they can keep him out of trouble and they would instantly be MUCH better if he plays + stays out of trouble. Those are a lot of ifs but if it worked out then it would be a bigtime business move by Dallas. Not saying it's right or wrong but looking at it from a business standpoint.

Comparing Plax's time in Pittsburgh, to TO's time in Philly is just insane.

 

Plax has NEVER been anywhere NEAR the problem TO was in San Francisco and Philly. Please don't even act like he has, because that is silly.

No one is saying that Pacman doesn't have talent. He has a lot of talent. But so does Michael Vick. He's really worth something right now isn't he? Chris Henry and Odell Thurman have talent. But do you think I'd want to see them on my team? Heck no!

 

If the Titans think they're getting more than a 5th for him, they're crazy IMO. And any team that gives up more than a 5th is STUPID. There is a reason only 1 or 2 teams are reportedly interested. He's too big of a risk. Wonder why the super bowl champs aren't sniffing around? Because they know they can get someone more useful with their 5th round pick. Someone who won't be in jail in a year. Same goes for New England, Indianapolis, and all the other teams that are consistently good.

Lawrence Taylor did have a coke problem, sadly. But he stayed away from the law. Unlike some Cowboys in the past.

BTW this thread isn't about the Giants. It's about Pacman Jones and the teams interested in trading for him.

Bottom line is he is a temendous athlete and a major punk. My point was that the Titans rolled the dice and lost when they drafted him. They are now in a situation where they can trade him for a 5th round pick which is fine by many. If I'm the Titans then I look at it in a sense that we blew it by drafting him. Right now we don't have him. We can take a 5th round pick (which is a huge dropoff from the #6 pick in the draft) OR we can roll the dice again. If he gets reinstated then we are more than likely going to get more than a 5th rounder. If we don't get more than that then 2 things happen. 1st he gets in trouble again and we are back to square one with us not having him + out a 5th round pick. 2nd we are stuck with him and he plays up to his talent level without getting in trouble then we now have potential to get WAY more out of him. To me they don't have him right now anyways so I could live with missing out on a 5th rounder. In my eyes there is way to much upside to get a lot more out of him then just caving in under pressure. I don't like him, he's a punk but I would take my chances to see if he is reinstated if I'm the Titans.

I personally wouldn't want him if I'm an owner BUT Jerry Jones isn't your typical owner. He has a track record of taking players with a past and they turn out to be stars for him T.O., Michael Irvin, Charles Haley and Tank hasn't been in trouble there yet. I'm not saying it's right or wrong but you can't dispute he has done well with troubled players. To me PacMan is the worst of all of them and I expect him to implode but I can understand why J. Jones feels like he can control him and make Dallas a whole lot better.
