Dunbar 52 Madison Central 50

Another question I have it something I saw tonight and have seen in some college games lately, a player is on the ground with possession of the ball and another player dives on top of him, literally tackling him, and they call a jump ball, I don't see how this isn't a foul.

Exact same thing happened in the Franklin County/Scott County game, but they actually called a foul on the guy who dove on top. It was the first time in game I was at this whole season that the officials didn't call it a jump ball.

Great win by Dunbar. There really looking to be very well coached up!

In Feldhaus' defense, he didn't have Keyshawn Simpson all year, who is rated as a top 10 junior in the state........but I thought this was possibly his best team ever, or so he said.

Same old story as the entire year...couldn't hit the freethrows or make the plays at the end of the game to clinch it. MC led by about 8 the entire game.

I think the past 2 seasons have been huge letdowns after the great 2005-2006 season.....and the talent is there....

I don't agree, Madison Central has been overrated all year long.
I hate to pick apart a statement like this, but I must.

1) Who is doing the touting?

2) I know this is hard to believe, but it isn't unheard of for a middle school player to not get any better. Some kids just reach their ceiling early.

Believe it or not, it is quite possible to be good in middle school and not cut it as a high school player. Our two top scorers in middle school never played a varsity minute in high school.

Over rated? How can you say over rated when only 1 player on the team had previous quality varsity experience. Morris was the only player who had played any valuable minutes last season with Simpson out for the year.

Good win for Coach Redd and the Bulldogs. Good luck to them against Bryan Station.

I agree with BellAlumni40.....

Some player peak at 12, and some at 32. I have seen what I thought were future Mr Basketballs in 11U AAU. And then watch them not even make the high school team.

I don't follow MC except at the high school level, so don't know much about middle school there. MC has a relatively soft district, so that may hurt them come tournament time. Mason County does also, but they go out and play a killer regular schedule. Toughens you up for the tournament.

Dunbar has been a surprise in the 11th this year. And I think they will be pre-season top 10 in the state next year. Only graduated 3 seniors, but most of their key players are back.

The talent is there. There are a lot of kids that never play for Central who were highly touted at the middle school level. Why aren't these kids playing? I agree that the last two seasons have been a HUGE letdown. Winning two years ago was so unexpected and this years team was supposed to be the best so it makes it that much harder for Indian fans to choke down.

I do agree with you here but can I ask you who these kids are? I have a couple in mind as well.
