Tourney MVP Nathan Novosel scored 29 points along with 15 rebounds to lead the Knights over a very tough Bulldog squad. The regular season games were both blowouts but Dunbar came to play tonight. Vee Sanford got in foul trouble getting his second two minutes into the game so he sat out the rest of the first half. The Bulldogs led by one after a quarter and trailed by one at the half. The dogs played very tough defense and banged the boards. The Knights got untracked in the third quarter when Taylor Stewart started scoring along with Sanford. The game was still close until late in the fourth quarter when the Knights finally got a double digit lead with two or so minutes left. The bulldogs still battled to within five before Catholic won at the free throw line.

Sanford's second foul was a huge tempo killer for the Knights this game. Dunbar played really well and with a lot of toughness but when Sanford came back in the second half the Knights looked a lot better. Still, both teams are tough and the 11th region will still be pretty exciting.

Great game until the last 3 minutes. Dunbar could be surprise winner in the 11th, although they are pretty highly rated state wise.

Two more tough teams in the 11th region, good luck to both in the regionals.
