Estill was down by 2 with 10 seconds to go in the 4th quarter. Then a foul was called and put #12 up to the line and made both of them putting them into overtime. But Estill Seniors done their part in overtime thats for sure.

It was an exciting and close game from the beginning. All of the Lady Owls, except 2, have been fighting the flu and other viruses and didn't feel very good. You could see it in their faces while they were on the floor, but I feel that they gave it all they had and it just wasn't enought on this particular night. The Lady Owls has had their roughest season in many years, with lots of turmoil. They were finally getting back on the right track, but just a little too late. Congratulations to the Lady Owls. You all are still winners to me. Thanks for a memoriable season, you kept on fighting and never gave up when the going got tough.:thumb:

Congratulations to the Lady Neer's of Estill and good luck tomorrow night.

This is a great group of young ladies.:thumb: They came close tonight, but it didn't happen. The girl from Estill that tied the game, with not many seconds remaining, with 2 free throws, must be commended. She has ice water in her veins. Cool under pressure.

Great Job Engineers!!! Don't get where this "'Neer's" thing came from but I have a clue. A football coach back in the '80's by the name of Kevin Sargent brought it with him from West Virginia where they said it about WVU. Nobody liked it back then b.c Sargent was an outsider but I'm guessing someone from Irvine came up with it this time so it was a good idea. Oh well, GO 'NEERS!!! Hope to see you in Bowling Green!!!

I'm not positive, but I believe Simon Kenton fans occasionally use "Neers" too. Their mascot name is Pioneers.
