Does anyone have stats for this game. I would like to see how Johnson played against Hopson.

Cumberland played a very solid game. With about two and a half minutes left in the game they were down 62-60 and Garfield Wilson got a good look for the lead from behind the 3 point line that went in and out. UHA out scored them 10-2 to end the game. The Skins and Johnson played very well and had a chance to win this game. This was a great test for Cumberland that will be beneficial down the road! Brooks Hogue hit some big shots down the stretch for the Skins that helped give them a shot at the victory. Hopson and Edmunson both had big games including some high flying dunks, the last one of the 360 variety for Hopson on a breakaway for their last bucket. Very entertaining game to watch!!

What were some of the stats in this game and was Desmond and Hopson matched up?

Nobody was keeping stats at the game. However, a sports writer from the paper is picking up a copy of the video today. He's going to watch it and do his article from the video. We should have some stats tomorrow. Hopson was matched up defensively against Johnson (and Wilson at times). Both made some very impressive moves to create their shots. I'll try to post some video later...

Skins in two tough road games should get them ready for the post season

Awfully long trip to make from Cumberland. I thought the Redskins looked good but had matchup problems with Hopson and Edmonson.

Best of LUCK to Cumberland in the District and Regional Tournament!

Cumberland is going to be a SERIOUS PLAYER IN THE POST-SEASON.

There is no clear cut favorite in the 13th this year. Gotta love this game.

The Cumberland Redskins gave the defending state All "A" Classic champions all they wanted Saturday, pulling as close as two points in the final quarter before falling to University Heights 72-62 in Hopkinsville.

 

"We took their best shot in the first quarter, then we played with them after that," Cumberland coach Jerry Edwards said.
