Franklin Simpson 46 Warren Central 42

Any 4th Region fans that can shed any light on this one?

The region is absolutely wide open. There are probably eight teams (BG, Warren Central, East, Greenwood, Barren, Metcalfe, Franklin Simpson and Allen) that have a legitmate chance of winning it. The problem is that two of those teams from the 14th wont even make it out of district.

When they last played, Central had a second quarter 18-2 run that took the game from 24-23 Central to 42-25 Central at the half. Franklin never recovered.

This game did not have anything near that for Central. One problem is that one of Central's two seniors was serving a one game suspension for getting ejected against Greenwood, and one of their two juniors, Pete Winn, who dropped in four or five three pointers in the first game and one of the primary ballhandlers, was not there for reasons I don't know. That left Central with only two upperclassmen and short one of their best scorers. Shanklin did not have a good night either, one of the other good scorers on Central. So you'll see a pattern.

When it comes down to it, neither team had a good scoring night, and when it came to the end, Frankin made the plays, and Central didn't.
