February 15, 200818 yr Author I have always heard love the people hate the sin I agree but it is hard to separate those out where those people are not seeing you as hating them. If you are not liking their actions, you must not like them seems to be the mindset. I think the dislike for Christians on the homosexual issue is an example of that.

So here MVHO, Jesus ate with sinners, connected with them, and took heat for it. He did try to correct them, by instead of saying you should do this or that, instead He used parabels (sp) to show whatever point that He was making at the time. Maybe, we all could learn something by that. I mean when was the last time someone like Billy Graham (just an example) set with in this case a homesexual and tried to have a relationship with that person.

February 15, 200818 yr Ladies, Doghouse question... I stay in there, but on that time or times I use the verse she knows what I mean. I'd use it on here if I knew that they knew how I meant it.
February 19, 200818 yr He might sit with them but does he ever tell them it's wrong!! That is true, he doesn't. Instead he looks for the good in people, tries to make peace, "blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called the children of God"
February 19, 200818 yr Author But he should be having them make peace with God not himself. And he does that. In the evening with Joel Osteen service, he continually told the audience that we have to live the life that God calls for us to live. And I believe this is a key point. He doesn't try to teach the whole gospel in one fell swoop but tells us the glory we can have by living the life God calls us to have (which means fighting the temptation of sin) and then implores the audience to get into a Bible-based church where TRUE spiritual growth occurs. Even when the offering time came, they said that the first 10% has to be going to our local churches. That they are not asking for any part of that 10%. It must be for the local churches. But ONLY if you could afford to give over 10%, do they ask you to help their ministry. Same with the message. The growth of a CHristian comes at the local level with Bible studies and the like. That is what I see him preaching to his NATIONAL audience. You can live a glorious life with God and you need to learn about this glorious life in Bible Study with your local Bible-based church.
