While everybody knows that I am pro CovCath, I think when Nutini pitches, our outfield could be totally unproven. Yes I realize that VanSant is a very good player, but he hasn't proven himself on a high school varsity field as of yet, and I personally don't know who that third outfielder is going to be. RD could be that outfielder, if Krumps finds someone else to play 3rd instead of RD, then "THAT" outfield of VanSant, Nutini and Darner, would indeed be the best in NKy....

The Camels only have one returning starter in OF who are the other two???

Austin Studer is that lone returnee, and he is a very good player (LF). . Justin Franzen has played Center all 3 years and is a very good polayer and lefty (Freshman, then 2 years JV) . . Andy Franzen, Ben Dreyer and Jon Verst are the other seniors who could play in the outfield. Andy actually started a lot of games in Right, as well as batted in the 2 hole.

I'll give you the name of a kid who is already a fabulous defensive outfielder and will eventually be a great all-around player - Ronald Cotton of Boone County. He's only a sophomore, but got varsity time last year as a freshman. He's played for me for a number of years and I've seen him track down balls he had absolutely no business getting to. He's going to be special in time.

When Farris is in center Boone's OF will be up there with the best. It will be a mixture of Farris, Cotton, Lokasack, and Krohman(Todd), and Robertson. They are all solid and add depth to the whole roster.

There are a lot of kids that are "athletes" but this kid is off the charts.

I would say Cov.Cath right now. Cov.Cath has multiple outfielders that have the tools to be great outfielders(VanSant, Nutini). Campbell County could also have a nice trio of outfielders.I know Studer is coming back and they have a couple other outfielders that were decent on the JV level last year.

Does anyone know who he plays summer ball for?

Ryle returns two veterans, Austin Seabald and Dillon Campbell however, one or both may be in the 4 man pitching rotation. So they could be seasoned or we could be watching some tallented younger players. Won't know until we get to Tates Creek I suppose.
