UNDERTHEBRIDGE Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 In the 43rd District the semifinal game of this bracket featuring the #2 and #3 seeds places Lexington Christian the defending state champion and current all "a" champ against Lexington Catholic who won the two prior state championships and has one of the top seniors in the state playing in Natalie Novosel. Catholic has won both matchups this season winning by 6 points at home and 7 on the road in games that were tight up till the end. However, last year the same thing occurred before LCA rattled off two straight wins in the district and region on their way to the title. This is two top five teams in the state going toe to toe in the elimination round. Should be pretty wild.
hounddawg Posted February 9, 2008 Posted February 9, 2008 In the 40th, Paris will either play Clark County or Bourbon County. All three teams are ranked in the top 5 of the region.
Option Right Posted February 10, 2008 Posted February 10, 2008 Janette Pacas led Paris with 14, with 13 coming in the second half and Ivy Livengood led Bourbon with 18. With the score 34-32 in Paris' favor, Pacas went to the line and knocked down 3-of-4 free throws at the end to seal the deal for the Ladyhounds.
