January 28, 200818 yr Thurman got punished much more severely than any previous player with a similar set of circumstances. The second year he was forced to sit out was excessive. I support the commish's "tough love" policy, but believe it was misapplied in Thurman's situation. He deserves to be allowed back and he should be a big plus for the Bengals.

January 28, 200818 yr I hope he doesnt go out and do something stupid agian and get himself out of the NFL for good. The bengals cant afford to lose another linebacker.
January 28, 200818 yr According to his agents and family lawyer he has had his life pretty much for together the last 2 seasons. As much as I would love him to be playing as one of our starting LB's next season. I hope more for his continued sobriety! The same thing was said prior to the 1 year suspsension, so don't believe everything you read. Getting cleared for workouts is definitely a good sign. I would have to think this means he stayed clean during this past year to allow a reinstatement. I don't see how they can clear him for workouts and not allow him back.
