East vs West

In order for Morgan to escape the 4 seed they must either:

1) Win tonight at East and Win at West and East beat West.

or if they lose tonight

 

2) Win at West Carter by 15 points.

Correct Comet75. Elliott Co has sown up the #1 seed. East is 2-2 in the district with Morgan and West left on the schedule (2 teams they have beaten, but not guaranteed to beat again). West is now 1-3 in the district with games left with East and Morgan. Morgan is 0-3 in district play with games against the other 3 teams. If history repeats itself the seeding would be:

 

1. Elliott Co

2. East Carter

3. West Carter

4. Morgan Co

 

There is still plenty of basketball left, so this is by no means cut and dried. But that is the standings now.

That January 31st game could really be something. West would not have to win to the get the #3 seed but just lose by less than 15 because of the tie breaker.

 

I remember Ashland and Lawrence Co a few years back. Lawrence was losing the game but holding the ball because in order for Ashland to get the number 1 seed, they had to beat Lawrence by a certain amount. Ashland was winning and fouling Lawrence who was holding the ball. It was crazy!!!
