Heard from a very reliable source(very very close to the program) that Tate will 0nly be out for one more game and will be back for the first game of the all A. Only had a bruised knee. Could play next game but they are just sitting him out to be on the safe side and give him a little extra rest.

Would be smart on their part to leave him out til at least saturday, they have a cake walk to the finals anyways, they got a good draw in the All A.

Yes losing the best player on the team will hurt them, but I'm sure when they make the finals next weekend, Cox will be right there playing with them trying to beat Hazard. Cox is a player and I'm sure is not about to sit out an important game like this. He is better on one leg than most of the region is full strength.

Cox is a player, probably the best in the region, but I don't know if it is the right decision for him to try to play in an important game like this if he is seriously injured just because it is an important game. I think they have more important games down the road to play. If he is not seriously injured, then he should play.

They have a chance to go to Richmond and win the All A state tourney, they don't have a chance to win the sweet 16. He will play to go to Richmond. Hurt or not.

He has nothing more than a bruised knee. Not a serious injury. If I was JBS I wouldnt play him until the semis of the All A(I wouldnt want him playing until the finals because Hardwood is right, they do have a cakewalk to the finals, but I believe I would bring him back for the semis to give him a game to get into rythym for the finals).

I would agree with that. If he does not have a serious injury he needs to play before the final game. Sitting out a couple games can really throw a good shooter off.

If JBS makes it to state, do you think they can't compete for a title

I don't think JBS has a cakewalk to the finals. Maybe to the semifinals. They'll beat Riverside. So actually Cox would be better off to sit until the semifinals if it just a bruise. THey'll probably be playing Buckhorn in the semi-finals and they will need Cox on the floor in this game. Buckhorn is no cake walk.

I believe JBS will win the 14th All A and they can compete for the stste championship in the All A. In my opinion there is four teams that can win the All A state championship. University Heights, Elliott, JBS, and Shelby Valley/Paintsville winner. Any of those four teams can win it. I look for University Heights to be in the championship game, so it depends on how the other three draw and who they will have to go thru to get to Univ Heights. Should be a great tournament.

I really believe Buckhorn is a cakewalk for JBS. The only competition period is Hazard and I really believe JBS is a 10 point better team. The WYMT classic was Hazards only shot to beat JBS this year.

I know JBS beat Buckhorn pretty handily the first time, but it was actually a pretty good game for awhile. Buckhorn led at the half and if not for a strong 3rd quarter by JBS, this may have been a close game. Where will the game be played at. I just think that Buckhorn is a little better than a cakewalk.

If they meet, and they should, it would be played at Perry Central. I agree JBS is the favorite to win the all a and the region with Hazard a close 2nd. But to think Buckhorn is a cakewalk is a little off. This is a good basketball team with a bad record, but look at their schedule. It hasn't been easy and in most of these games they could have won and their record would be different. I promise if JBS overlooks Buckhorn, they will not have to worry about the championship game.

I agree. Good team and good coach.

The All A semi's on Saturday night should be:

JBS/Buckhorn, could be a good one, Buckhorn was leading at halftime of first meeting

Hazard/Cordia, will be a good game, Cordia is the most under rated team in the region

Games will be at Perry county Central following the 2 girls Semi final games.

FINALS TO BE ON SUNDAY AT 2:OO AND 4:00 AT PERRY CENTRAL
