Alex Hall led all scorers with 21 points. 15 of those coming from 3's. Coach Shumate gets his first varsity win on the road against a young GreenDevil team.

Beechwood outscored Dayton 23-7 in the second quarter, coming back from being 7 down after the first quarter. The Tigers took the lead with 2:00 left in the 1st half. The lead was 5 going into the 4th quarter, but Beechwood pulled away outscoring Dayton 25-12 in the final 8 minutes.

For Dayton, Chris Young and Shawn Eastin hit 3 three pointers each in the first half. Chris Young led Dayton with 16 with Eastin adding 14 also. Coach Dilts and the GreenDevils go to 2-2 on the season.

Beechwood has Heritage Academy next and Dayton travels to Bellevue.

We will have audio from both coaches on the show this Saturday morning.

Just very obviously a young but talented group at Dayton, they shouldn't be ashamed at all of what they did, but also should know that some defensive stops and a few more boards will win them those kinds of game... The game was a whole lot closer than the score...

:thumb:... Was a very competitive game for the first 3 quaters then Beechwood pulled away in the fourth. As Dayton matures they could become very competitive and will be able to win games like this down the road.

Congrats to coach shumate for his first varsity win. I'm sure he has many more in his future.
