I'm sure Montgomery is sick of losing to their biggest rival. I don't think GRC has the size to stop Stephens and Clark down low for Montgomery. However, Stenzel is a great player and the came could come down to how well he gets his team involved.

We have size ...but they are Freshman starting for the first time against seasoned players in Stephens and Clark. Clark is a warrior...gives all he has...love to watch this kid play. I have known his family for a long time. This is one of the best rival games there is.

Gotta go with Clark on this one, looks like Clark is better team now, but I can bet you by the end of they year Montgomery will be 10 points better.

 

After GRC win over #4 Ranked Madison Central on their home floor tonight...many more may be thinking this. But I know Montgomery Co.. they will want this game very bad...may come down to who wants it the most.

Clark needs to involve thier freshman big men more. Saw some really good minutes from both freshman centers in madison. Both have good footwork and rebounding skills. Hope Humphrey lets them get some P.T. and try to wear down Montgomery interior. Maybe the refs will stay out of this one and let them play, too many whistles against Clark in Madison county, of course it is that way in every game!

How long has it been since Montgomery Co. got a win against Clark? It's had to be atleast 3 or so years right? I kno the football was the first time in this decade or somethin to that effect.. Anyways it will be a great game no matter what!

 

I believe it was 3 years ago. Montgomery had a senior led team and swept Grc that year, eventually getting beat by Pendleton Co. in the region finals.

All 3 of our Freshman centers played tonight. Cory did not start but had 2 gret put-backs in the OT that really helped. Coach put Jaylan on the man inbounding the ball alot tonight. Travis sounded like he had a good game to. Getting these players as much PT now will only help in years to come. Also we have Robbie Stenzel that started as a 8th grader last year. Also I am impressed with Aaron Dini and his defense. He will be anothe new face to many around the region this year as he did not play last year.

 

I am impressed with our cneter position as of now...got ot stay out of foul trouble on Friday.

However I have seen Dini play on a soccer field and he was a very aggressive and physical player. I am not suprised at all, i'm sure he's an outstanding defender as well as rebounder!

After our huge win last night I am a little more confident that the Cards will win this one. Montgomery Co always brings their best game against the Cards. We had better be ready for them...and just want it more than they do.:thumb:

A little confidence goes a long way! Clarks win over Madison Central will go a long way in the next big games. I was really impressed with the freshman bigmen and how much poise they played with in a big game situation. This team could be dangerous again come spring. I think the soccer faction of this team will bring the toughness a young team sometimes lacks as was evident in the last second shot by Mark Miller. The Clark - Montgomery game will be a close contest with senior play and leadership deciding the outcome. IMO Clark wins by 4!

I 'll go with Clark Co. This is a team that will improve every game. They have a continual upside and will go into this one with alot of confidence off of a tough road win against Madison Central. Looks like this one will have a fantastic atmosphere.

Huge rival game. Our district seeds, so a win on our home court would be huge for us.I will not get to sit in my usual spot...behind the visiting bench..the Montgomery Co cheering section will be there and they will be in full force. There will be large crowd at this one....and believe me it is well worth the money to see this game. :thumb:

This is the first GRC Montgomery game in a while that there really hasn't been a clear cut favorite.

 

So the only prediction I can make is that like always, it will be down the wire and there will be an amazing atmosphere!
