Newport has one of the best players in the 9th Region with the Housley youngman. Now add the big fellow Dave Darnell, looks like the cats should pull this one out. Good Luck Both teams!

Lloyd played bad against Ludlow and good against Villa. It was a difference in their shooting percentages. They had many oppertunities against tLudlow but could not finish plays. They were hitting against Villa, especially in the second half. I know nothing about Newport other than the fact they they are young. I would give the edge to Lloyd right now because of experience, buy who knows, thats why they play the game. This game is not until the 14th.

I changed my mind. I saw Newport play ludlow. Newport by 15+. Lloyd can not match all of Newports athleticism and size.

I would have to agree with Hoops. Newport by about 12 to 15..

This game may be closer than you think. Ludlow against Newport only played Rouse (11 pts) for the first half and a minute at the start of the third quarter (4 pt game at this point). Most of the starters were out of the game midway in third quarter. I think Ludlow's coach was sending a message to his starters about effort. From there the game just slipped away.

Who do the Panthers have tonight? Dayton? I guess we will see if the message worked.
