Hensley Rating System's Class 1A Picks (Playoff Week #1)

Featured Replies

Well folks, it is back and will be up and running for every week of the post-season. As a refresher course, the HRS works this way:

(Cantrall Rating + Litkenhous Rating) / 2 = Hensley Rating

Now when I apply the HR to each game that is being played, the home team gets an added 6 points for home field advantage with two exceptions only...1)when both teams use the same field for their home games and 2) when there is a neutral field being used.

Now on to the selections for the first round of the Prep Bowl playoffs.

(Please note that each team's seed in their district will be in parenthesis preceeding the particular team)

(1) Fulton County defeats (4) Fulton County by 40.25

(2) Mayfield defeats (3) Crittenden County by 28.35

(1) Frankfort defeats (4) Eminence by 52.85

(3) Trimble County defeats (2) Gallatin County by 5.7

(1) Louisville Holy Cross defeats (4) Beth Haven by 36.45

(2) Bethlehem defeats (3) Ky. County Day by 12.15

(1) Beechwood defeats (4) Ludlow by 50.4

(2) Dayton defeats (3) Bellevue by 17.05

(1) Lexington Christian defeats (4) Nicholas County by 37.75

(2) Raceland defeats (3) Fairview by 9

(1) Pikeville defeats (4) Allen Central by 51.05

(2) Paintsville defeats (3) South Floyd by 33.75

(1) Williamsburg defeats (4) Clinton County by 36.45

(2) Lynn Camp defeats (3) Campbellsville by 14.1

(1) Hazard defeats (4) Evarts by 36.9

(2) Cumberland defeats (3) Jenkins by 25.55

I certainly like your pick on the Raceland/fairview game and hope that you are right.

Only one upset, man I hope things go a little different upsets are what make things fun.

That is the beauty of elimination style championship events!
