November 6, 200718 yr Author 1. OSU - there beating who they should beat, great D 2. Oregon - i dont think no one can stop there spread offense 3. LSU - ton of talent, beat 4 rank teams in a row(i think) 4. Kansas - there undefeated in a major conferance, you have to put them here 5. WV - very explosive and defense is better than people think I agree on Oregon. Should Ohio State make it to the NC game (and that is certainly not etched in stone)as a Buckeye fan Oregon worries me more than any of the other top teams with the possible exception of Oklahoma, the Sooners are VERY good as well.

What cannot be denied is that Ohio State is the #1 Ranked Team in the Country and imo they wil remain there untill/unless some one beats them. That may happen or it may not. What I am saying is that the Buckeyes have taken care of business and beaten everyone on their schedule, they have not lost to lesser teams like some others have. They have beaten some pretty good, not great teams. Bottom line is that they have beaten the teams that they were supposed to and were expected to beat. A lot of the ones complaining about the Buckeyes #1 Ranking have not. Should someone beat Ohio State I will acknowledge that, accept it and go on. Unlike some now. :walk::laugh: I did not pick the Buckeyes to be in the championship game before the season by the way. I can also promise that should someone other than the Buckeyes win the NC that I will not get on here and bash/slam that team whoever it may be.:thumb:

They don't control the quality of any team other then themselves. But, for me, like Kansas, despite beating the teams placed in front of them they haven't beaten a marquee team. Especially in the case of Ohio St., who played a similar, albeit possibly more difficult, schedule last year and were thoroughly disassembled in the national title game. In that case, they have much to prove. They beat overrated Big Ten teams last year and then couldn't hold a candle to Florida. I’m not going to rank them #1 until they beat someone good enough to prove it. Oregon and LSU have both proven what they can do and have shown, so far, that their losses were aberrations, not the norm. Both of their losses came to solid and potent teams and both came down to the final second.
November 6, 200718 yr Author Anyone else have any poll/ ratings of theirs to post. That was what this thread was put up for and has gotten off topic a little. I am guilty as well so I am not calling anyone out on this :thumb:. Lets see some more picks/ poll ideas.
