Game wasn't that close. BE broke it open in the 3rd Quarter and played the second team most of the 4th Quarter.

 

If I'm Nelson County I start the QB that played the 4th Quarter ... That kid could throw the ball.

 

Good win going into the playoffs ... North Bullitt next week should be a heck of a game!

Bullitt East controlled the game, but it was a two score game until midway through the third when Jordan Keene fumbled it away on Bullitt East's 25 yard line. Bullitt East had its first string offense in the whole game, and it second-team D came in with 7:40 to go in the game.

 

Jordan is Nelson's QB. Noone was calling for the backup when they won 3 straight and scored more than 50 a few weeks ago. Nelson is a veer team; they live with it and die with it. I would note, for the record, that Bullitt East wasn't stopping anyone tonight either and that Nelson had over 250 yards rushing.

 

Bullitt East is the better team. Nelson's defense was absolutely atrocious. I am really impressed with #27 Risinger. Very talented player. Their OL also blocked the inside veer very well.

Claine has had a great year ... he's only a junior and will be back next year.

 

Just saying the backup QB threw a nice ball. If all you are going to do is run then the starting QB is fine. Did you really feel you were in the game in the second half? We were only a TD or two down to Fairdale in the second half but it never felt like we were in the game.

 

Nelson brought a nice little crowd with them. Good to see ... best of luck in the playoffs next year.

Kid of strange you guys are the #4 seed and are playing a #1 seed that you beat by 34. I would think you have to like your chances in that game

I think we can beat Greenwood again, even on the road, but Week 2 poses a bigger problem in either North Hardin or Meade County. Gonna be tough for us to win at all playing this kind of defense right now.

Yeah I didn't mean anything by that, Nelson County was a classy team. My point is there are some games (when you've watched a team all year) that you just know what the outcome is going to be. I knew after the first quarter last night that we would win by a couple of touchdowns. Just like I knew after the first quarter at the Fairdale game that we weren't going to win that game.
