oneijoe Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Paintsville went up 20-14 with about 7 mins. remaining, but for some reason tried (& failed) the 2-pt. conversion. Paintsville also had the ball at the 2 yd. line with time for one play (again, no attempt to kick). The Hawks held...game over. Early in the year the Tigers had a fairly able kicker for conversions. I don't understand why she isn't used now. Does she no longer play ?
EKUAlum05 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Oneijoe, On ym way up to Lex tonight I heard from 98.9 that it was actually Paintsville winning 26-21 on a JD VanHoose TD as time expired... not doubting you, just wanting to make sure which report was correct
oneijoe Posted October 27, 2007 Author Posted October 27, 2007 Hmmm...this is a little bit of a mystery. I listened to the 95.5 delayed broadcast. When they said the QB was stopped and the game was over, I turned off the radio. Perhaps there was a defensive penalty. If so, Q95 didn't mention it. Perhaps STRIKE3 knows ???
EKUAlum05 Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I heard downwind somewhere tonight about a timeout being called after time expired or something to that extent... this was arguably one of the best games in EKY tonight, regardless of the outcome, I am curious to see who gets the win as well.
KHS GameNight Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 According to our reports...Paintsville called timeout with a little over 1 second to go after Humphries was stopped sort of the goal line. JD VanHoose moved to QB and scored on the final play of the game. PHS 26 PCC 21
MTNSportsGuy Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 This thread score needs corrected...Paintsville won 26---21.
