November 3, 200718 yr I have Time Warner HD and I watched the UK games on WBNS here in Columbus and they have been broadcasting in HD for over a year now. BUT!! The UK games against LSU and Florida were not broadcasted in HD, my guess is that CBS was using all of their HD equipment for NFL. So it was not a DishNetwork issue but a CBS issue. The same issues happened last year during the NCAA tournament for me. It wasn't the cable providers fault - it was the local station's fault. All of the local stations here in Louisville are capable of passing a primary HD signal on from their parent stations (CBS, NBC, etc). However, they are not capable of doing anything else in HD. When the NCAA tournament was on, the local CBS could receive around 4 or 5 different broadcasts, but only the primary broadcast was in HD. When UK or UL was playing, the local CBS took a non-primary signal from CBS that made sure that the entire UK or UL game was broadcast. Since they didn't have local HD abilities, the game was not in HD. In Lexington, however, the local CBS DOES have local HD capability, and showed the entire game feed in HD. The same thing happens when weather coverage goes on in place of a primetime show. The station records the program and re-airs it at a later date - just not in HD. A "litmus" test you can use it to see if Jeopardy is in HD. Jeopardy is broadcast on different stations at different times all around the world. More than likely, your local station records it and broadcasts it at their own time slot. In Louisville, it says Jeopardy in HD, yet I've never seen Alex in HD.
