Sounds like a good possibility. It's not unusual for graduates to add another 1-1 1/2 inches to height in college, either.

 

But...IMO, it's always better to take the "full ride" wherever it's offered. The walk-on thing can leave a student with nothing but messed up grades and/or a messed up knee with NO recourse. If there's no scholarship offered, pick the school for its academic program - not its sports program. Of course, that's the perspective of a father...
