The Mad Stork
These games have always been good ole knockdown dragouts. How do you think the scrimmage game will be? What does each team need to work on and how will the scrimmage turn out?
mcpapa
Will this scrimmage follow the "10 play" scheme?
mhighfield
Both coachs have agreed to run this scrimage as if its a real game,It even starts at 7:30 and has a great pre game tailgate cookout .So all you Ashland fans come to Maysville friday nite for whats almost like an extra game on the schedule and get some good food before the game .Tailgate starts at 5:30. And the scrimmage is FREE! Speaking of which, yesterday I heard Dick Vitale railing against NFL teams charging full price for exhibition games. Is it common practice to charge admission for HS scrimmages in Kentucky?
Graybeard
With Ashland and Mason in different classes and districts I’m glad that we can still scrimmage. I’m also glad that the coaches agreed to the real game format. Our two teams will play at least one common opponent this year (Russell), so this should be an interesting early match-up. Ashland is young (or inexperienced really) with plenty to work on – but, they are learning fast. I think scrimmaging the Camels last week helped.
