Les Stroud takes very little in the way of supplies, if anything. Bear takes fire starters and always has some kind of aid.

 

But I like both shows for their own merit. I can spend an hour with either one of these shows and I am entertained. Plus, I learn something on every episode.

Agreed and the show is the informative part, not whether or not he's enduring all the agony.

 

I've seen him swim in frozen water, be under intense heat scorching settings and eat many things, most of us would never consider. It's entertainment.

Next thing you will tell me Donald Trumps hair is a toupee. Well, I still have pro wrestleing.

Survivor man is way better!! He is all alone no camera crews he sets them all up himself and carries them himself on his way. Man vs Wild is good but IMO it doesn't compare.

 

I'm not entirely sure he doesn't have a camera crew shadowing him. Some of the shots on this show seem too much work to stage for one guy alone.
