JohnLex7 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I did not see the game but was told that Dunbar's runs came in the bottom of the 6th inning with a two out, two strike grand slam. Another great season for Tates Creek but unfortunately another year where they don't get out of the 43d. It is unfortunate that the present structure doesn't lead to the best teams in the region ending up in the regional tournament but rather playing each other in first round games in the district. Tates Creek is the first ranked team from the 43d to be eliminated. Another will be eliminated in the 2nd game tonight, between Lexington Catholic and LCA.
Villa T Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 It is truly ashame that such a good team (Tates Creek) was eliminated in the first round of the district. Other parts of the state have the same problem, and there is not a good answer besides "Wait til next year". Tates Creek, keep up the hard work.......
UNDERTHEBRIDGE Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Its bound to happen when you have as good a teams in one district. How many districts can boast four teams that have made it to the State Championship in the past four years and three teams that have won a state championship?
STRIKE3 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 The best overall District in the state. Just a testament, to all the players, coaching staffs and schools, who work hard each day, to compete.
SLINK Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Good win for the Bulldogs! Good luck against Lexington Catholic.
