Those of us, who are passionate about KY High School Baseball, are often limited to the area, in which we live. We don't get to see all the players, during the regular season.

 

There are some very good players, all across the state. Let's list these players, grade, school name and give some information, stats, college attending if known and help promote the game of Baseball.

3 Middlesboro Seniors deserve some props:

 

1B - Andrew Breeding

Big target at 6'2", 220 with a 32" vertical & 4.6 speed, Excellent glove, excellent arm, .450+ BA, .800+ slugging. Best 1B I've seen in Region 13. Football scholarship (LB) to Georgetown.

 

SS - Casey Earls

5'10", 175, 4.5 speed, Cat-quick, top 10 in the Agilities at NIKE Combine, Great glove & arm, best base stealer in the 13th IMO, .400+ BA, .700+ on-base. Pure athlete.

 

OF - Trevor Hoskins

6'3", 190, 4.5 speed, best OF in the 13th IMO, easily the best arm, Excellent glove, covers the OF almost pole-to-pole, .700+ on-base, great base-stealer. Also a top RHP in the 13th, mid 80's, great fielding skills on the mound. Football scholarship (QB) to EKU.

Catcher- Mike Jones Sr. Southwestern Nice player and a great person

 

3B/1B- Marcus ? ( I dont know his last name) from Casey County. He plays shortstop for the Rebels but is built more like a third baseman, or first baseman. This kid has excellent speed and a good arm. He is a Sr.

 

2B John Cole ( junior) from Somerset. When he gets on base it puts a lot of pressure on the defense

 

Outfield- Aaron Watts McCreary County Freshman. He can run down balls in the OF with the best of them.

 

 

 

Pitcher- John Perkins from Pulaski. Senior awesome competitor

Catcher - Brandon Smith (senior)

 

BA .478, 14 SB, OBP .597, SLG .652, 16 R. Brandon has hit safely in every regular season game this year. And has only struck out once. He's been walked 13 times and takes a lot of pitchers deep into an at bat. No college decision yet.

 

OF - Danny Rose (senior)

 

BA .286, 10 SB, 13 R. Rose has come along this season and his bat gets better every game. No college decision.
