Lexington vs Louisville

Featured Replies

Saw on another board that Lexington teams finished 17-1 in the LIT. To me, that is an unbelievable record against good competition. In a word, wow.

No one should be surprised at this. Just look at some of the teams in Lexington and look at their records against teams outside of Lexington...Sayre is 13-6, but 13-2 outside of Lexington. Lexington Christian has 10 losses, only 2 of them are from teams outside of Florida or Lexington. Lafayette is in last place in the 43d District at 16-10, but they are 15-2 in games against teams outside of Lexington. If you want to see what Lexington baseball is all about, come by Lafayette High School on May 8...Dunbar v. Lexington Catholic at 5:30, Lafayette v. Tates Creek at 8:00...and the admission price is right...free. :)

Both these cities, produce outstanding Baseball players, who commit themselves to learning the game, through hard work, dedication and practice.

Speaks of the players and coaching staffs willingness, to excel. If they played 100 games, the record might be 50-50.

Not sure of the other scores but according to what was reported to the KHSAA website, Lexington was 6-0.

The games that were reported were:

Bryan Station 5 DeSales 1

Lexington Catholic 5 Pleasure Ridge Park 2 (10 Innings)

Tates Creek 6 Fern Creek 4

Henry Clay 10 Butler 0 (5 Innings)

Bryan Station 10 Doss 5

Paul Lawrence Dunbar 11 Male 0 (5 Innings)

I believe that Lexington has become the King of high school baseball in Kentucky. Lafayette, Dunbar, Catholic and Christian could match up with any other 5 teams from the state since 2000.

Not sure of the other scores but according to what was reported to the KHSAA website, Lexington was 6-0.

Dunbar also beat Beechwood at Male in the LIT .That is the 3 rd time Dunbar has beat them this year.Beechwood has beat Lex Christian and Apollo ,a couple top ranked teams .
