Scott 9 Highlands 3

Featured Replies

Adkins got the start for the eagles who gave him a three run cushion, and the eagles didn't look back. Good win for the eagles, Cov. Cath tom. BC friday at champions window field and sat. vs Holy Cross. Scott is 1-1 on the week against the top 5 in NKY, losing to ryle and now beating Highlands, this week will tell us a lot about where Scott stands in the thick of things.

Great game for the Eagles tonight. Adkins pitched a great game only giving up 4 hits. Nothing working for the Birds tonight except for a 2B by Allen and a HR by Muench. Birds are physically and mentally tired right now. 10 games since last Monday. Scott was the much better team tonight. Pitching not working and too many errors by Highlands tonight. Game seem to take forever. The game didn't start till 8:15,then delayed 20 minutes for lightning, and didn't end till 10:35. Birds off the next 2 days. They take on Holy Cross Friday and St. X Saturday.

So you were tired and Scott wasn't?

Give it up. Of course they were tired. Everybody's tired. Lots of ball being played lately by all teams.

For petes sake, let it go DD. Obviously you got beat by a team that wanted it more on that particular day. That was evident by the lack of enthusiasm and half-butt round of infield that Roesel cut short. I find it amusing that you can say that CCH needs a day off and were bound to lose to a team like Campbell when they weren't supposed to yet don't think that it's an excuse for HHS who has played the same amount of games in the same amount of days. However, HHS had a MUCH more emotional game before the Doc finals than CCH and it was much more draining. And don't give me this crap about Roesel making a decision that was unpopular. Bottom line, he thought he could squeak by the Birds with a half-butted effort, like his players did, and he could use Weis in the finals vs. CCH. That ended up biting him in the behind. Same way it did with Maxwell a day earlier. Take the pill and swallow it. Ryle's the #1a team in the region and we all know any team can win on any given day. Take your loss like a man and move on...

Let's play nice and take the personal jabs, to the pm's...

Just giving some back. Maybe you guys wouldn't have been so tired if you didn't jump up and down and clap in rythem and sing in the dugout all day Sunday. My observation of the game.

Also, I did not comment on the CCH / Campbell Co game, so don't put words in my mouth.

Unfortunately our kids love to play the game and show it...

I'm sorry, it was the Mason/CCH game. Same comment though...No words being put anywhere...

Wasn't trying to predict the weather, just trying to cheer you up Old Guy.

The CCH boys will be fine, but your right, they could use the rest.

Campbell is a solid team and can beat any given team on any given day, but we play the Mason kids in summer ball and they are solid. For the record, I think Highlands is a lot like Campbell, they can win on any given day, just not consistently yet. We get to play twice more this year so we'll see how it pans out.

Which is my point. This was a LOT bigger of a win for the HHS program than it was of a loss for the Ryle program. I'm sure Roesel has already forgotten about it and moved on to the rest of his season.

HHS can beat and be beaten by anyone...

I'am sure he has. Good luck with the rest of your season. I know a few Ryle kids and Highlands kids play summer and or fall ball together and like and respect each other and if you go back to my previous post you will see that I have had nothing but good things to say about the Highlands players.

Since you're into video taping the games, can you please go back and check that tape for me and let me know which cheers they did. I would like to forward them to others since it has such an affect on your team or is it just you?

Perhaps my first warning, about taking it to the pm's, wasn't noticed....

Start a new thread and discuss the game, not each other.
