Why didn't Hills play Danville in the final game of the Capitol City Classic?

 

0-3 Frankfort played 0-3 Anderson

 

1-2 Hills and 1-2 Danville should have played

 

2-1 Marion should have played 2-1 Woodford

 

3-0 Taylor should have played 3-0 Franklin

 

What were the other 2 games?

Marion is 7-7 and not in the top 55....Danville is 16-2 and ranked #4 in the state...who do you think is better?

 

I know that Marion beat Danville...but UK lost to Morehead St. in baseball and I am sure that you know UK is better than MSU.

 

Everybody has a down day and it looks like Danville had one against Marion and Marion had one against Hills....but congrats to WH on taking advantage of it. Hills has a tough one against Central tomorrow it will be interesting to see if they can keep up the momentum.

You're absolutely right...just look at the scores from Madison County over the weekend for examples of up and down days. Letcher Central loses badly to Lafayette on Friday and then beats Madison Southern and Madison Central on Saturday. Lafayette run rules Letcher Central and Southern, then loses a close one to Madison Central. Teams have to take their shots when they get them, and WH did that against Marion I'm not convinced that Western Hills belongs in that middle grouping of teams yet, not without more consistent performance.

Not so sure about it being a down day for Danville, Marion County handled them pretty well. Danville is a good team but maybe the 3rd or 4th best team in the Classic. With Witten pitching however they can beat anyone on any given day, but I still wouldnt say they would beat everyone in the classic even with him pitching.
