Sophomore Brandon Nutini started off shaky by giving up two runs in the first inning but settled down and pitched blanks to Simon Kenton in the second and third innings. He was replaced in the fourth by Alex Smith who retired the side with two K's, and was followed in the 5th by Dan Koester who also set the side down 1-2-3.

Big bats by sophomores; Maile, and Darner who each had a HR. Maile's was in the first with two on and went over the wall at around 345.

Daner's was also I think in the first and it was a solo shot over the CovCath right field wall. CovCath sophomores had a rather good day, at the plate today, going I think something like 9/11 or 10/11 with at least 6 RBI's, maybe more.

CovCath continues play this week at Hamilton Badin on Tuesday and then Wednesday against Boone County. I have hear that this game is being played at Boone County but have also heard that it just might be moved to Champion Window Field. Anyone know for sure?
